I am a student majoring in computer science and minoring in business. I have experience in coding in C#, HTML, Java, Javascript, PHP, and SQL. I currently serve as the president of the Brandeis Student Union. I have worked in multiple agile software development groups. I also have experience as a technology help desk manager and information security analyst.
I enjoy leading and participating in a variety of initiatives. I have the flexibility and willingness to work on a variety of projects while demonstrating the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. As Student Union President, I am a part of a handful of committees to improve student life on campus. For example, I was on the steering committee for the 2nd annual ‘Deis Impact, the festival of social justice, because I wanted to ensure that this festival was bigger, better, and bolder than the first. Other accomplishments include evaluating issues with and proposing solutions to the current election system and club structure. I have also worked with administration on strategic planning and dining reform.
I enjoy making recommendations, troubleshooting technical issues, and refining customer support processes. As a technology help desk manager, I have experience in technical support and customer service. I also assist in the operational management of the help desk, which includes hiring, scheduling, supervision of student employees, monitoring online communications, leading the creation and improvement of end-user and internal documentation, assist in the development and supervision of training for Help Desk technicians, and maintain web pages.
I also want to work globally and cross-functionally with relevant teams to solve product challenges in order to provide a better experience for users. While working for Awareness, I was consistently collaborating with teams locally and globally. I worked with teams such as sales and customer service to improve their functions by developing internal tools to improve their internal processes.
Overall, I am a big-picture thinker and strategic leader. I like to understand problems from multiple perspectives. I want to apply my combined technical and customer service skills to improve user experience. I have the ability to identify complex problems and implement creative solutions. I want to take past experience and immerse myself in an environment that allows me implement product quality improvements through data analyses.
